The processing time varies between 5–20 minutes depending on the desired colour intensity. There are three variants of the developer, which can be chosen based on hair type and desired result: 1.8% Diactivateur: Suitable for very sensitised hair, ideal for darkening or refreshing faded lengths and tips. 2.7% Diactivateur: Recommended for sensitised hair, ideal for balancing lengths and tips. 4.5% Diactivateur: Perfect for slightly sensitised hair to achieve length and tip balancing or for strong reflection on coloured hair. The mixture is evenly applied to the hair (wet or towel-dried) and rinsed thoroughly after the processing time.

The Nioxin Scalp Revitalising Conditioner System 6 is a professional hair and scalp rinse for chemically treated (coloured and bleached hair) that is increasingly losing hair density. It balances the moisture levels of the hair and scalp and helps to strengthen the hair and improve hair structure. As step 2 in the treatment against hair breakage and hair loss, it promotes denser and fuller hair. It is applied directly to the scalp and hair tips after washing with the Cleanser and left in the hair for up to 3 minutes.
