1. There are two shampoos for blondes
- Kérastase Blond Absolu Bain Lumière: Very good for daily hair washing
- Kérastase Blond Absolu Ultra-Violet: Ideal when yellow tones become too intense
2. The Kérastase Blond Absolu Cicaflash Fondant, the conditioner, has a rather lightweight texture and is therefore very easy to distribute through the hair. You can feel how the hair calms down and becomes soft and smooth.
3. The Blond Absolu range includes two hair masks:
- Kérastase Blond Absolu Masque Ultra-Violet: This mask is best used to immediately neutralize yellow tones. It is highly pigmented, and the yellow cast disappears instantly.
- Kérastase Blond Absolu Masque Cicaextreme: This mask is ideal when the hair is severely damaged and signs of breakage are already visible.
4. There are also two hair serums for blondes:
- Kérastase Blond Absolu Sérum Cicanuit: Apply it to the hair overnight without rinsing if you want to prevent split ends and hair breakage.
- Kérastase Blond Absolu Hyaluronic Acid Serum: This serum cares for the scalp and hair with 2% pure hyaluronic acid. It binds moisture and is ideal when the hair is frizzy and dull. It can be incorporated into any routine at any time.
5. For heat protection and protection against UV rays as well as external aggressors, Kérastase Blond Absolu Cicaplasme Leave-In is ideal.
6. Of course, there is also a hair oil: Kérastase Blond Absolu Huile Cicaextreme. It feels great in both damp and dry hair and provides instant smoothness, protection against hair breakage, and heat protection up to 230°C.
Blond Absolu ingredients
Blond Absolu products contain highly concentrated hyaluronic acid to strengthen the hair fiber, edelweiss extract to improve resilience, and ultraviolet neutralizers to counteract yellow and orange undertones.

Routine for strong neutralization and more intensive care

Most purple shampoos tend to dry out the hair, but not the one from Kérastase. Combined with the conditioner and leave-in, damaged hair is rebuilt and copper tones are effectively eliminated.
Routine for intensive neutralization and deeper care
Anyone with white-blonde hair knows how difficult it is to keep yellow tones at bay. In addition, the hair is usually quite damaged from frequent and intensive bleaching. In this case, the following product combination delivers the best results:

This routine provides the necessary color correction and intensive care. Even straw-like hair becomes easy to comb again with this combination and regains a cool, radiant blonde.

Routine for extremely bleached, damaged hair
Do you regularly bleach not only the roots but also the lengths and ends? Then this routine is tailored exactly to you:

With these Blond Absolu products, you can bring damaged hair back into shape. The creamy shampoo combined with the mask regenerates and smooths the hair surface, restoring shine and softness. The hair oil provides heat protection up to 230°C and is therefore ideal if you like to blow-dry and style your hair. This combination regenerates bleached hair and gives it shine, smoothness, and protection. And as an added bonus, the mask delivers a 24-hour anti-frizz effect.
What is the texture of the products like?
- Both shampoos (Lumière and Ultra-Violet) have a liquid texture, which is standard.
- The fondant is not too creamy, making it very easy to distribute through the hair.
- The masks have a cream-gel–like texture, so they don’t drip, which makes application comfortable and economical.
- The leave-in serum has a very similar texture to the masks but is slightly more fluid.
- The hair oil feels smooth in the palms and absorbs into the hair immediately, leaving no sticky residue on the hands.
- The serums are relatively lightweight and fluid, making them quick and easy to apply to both hair and scalp.
How long do the Blond Absolu products last?
The products contain highly concentrated ingredients, so they should be used sparingly. A hazelnut-sized amount is usually sufficient. This is not only good for the hair but also for your wallet.
I get about two months out of a 250 ml shampoo, even though I normally wash my hair twice a week and shampoo twice each time. Since the mask should only be used every 3–4 washes, it lasts accordingly long. Very small amounts of serum, oil, and leave-in care are also sufficient—depending on hair length. For shoulder-length hair, a hazelnut-sized amount is enough. Using too much can weigh the hair down.
Value for money
A Blond Absolu shampoo costs over €20. Considering the excellent performance and how long the products last, the price is more than justified. Many other shampoos are in a similar price range but do not always offer the same high quality. Of course, there are also more affordable, comparable shampoos, but with Kérastase you are holding products that skillfully combine many years of research with a luxurious care experience. The fragrance, texture, and results are simply impressive—there’s no denying that. It’s no coincidence that Kérastase is regarded as the ultimate luxury haircare brand. The quality is noticeable with every application and can also be seen. The same naturally applies to conditioners and other products in the range.

Which products impressed us the most
- The Bain Ultra-Violet in particular is a perfect shampoo for blonde hair. We were used to our hair feeling dry after using purple shampoos and needing intensive care afterward. But that feeling comes to an end here—finally a nourishing purple shampoo!
- We were also very impressed by the Kérastase Blond Absolu Hyaluronic Acid Serum because it is a serum for both the scalp and the hair. Many hair serums should not be applied too close to the scalp because they can weigh the hair down—but not this one. In fact, it should be applied to the scalp, as this is where it already begins to work, and the effect is very pleasant. The scalp feels great, just like the hair.
- Kérastase Blond Absolu Cicaplasme Leave-In is far more than just a heat protectant. It nourishes the hair fiber, leaves the hair wonderfully smooth, and even contains an integrated UV filter.
Kérastase Blond Absolu review: our conclusion
So, is the hype around Kérastase Blond Absolu justified or not? Clear answer: yes! Anyone who hasn’t tried these products yet is missing out. They help gently to intensively neutralize yellow tones, restore hair to a healthy condition, and protect it from further damage. In our opinion, every blonde should have Blond Absolu in their bathroom. The price-performance ratio is excellent as well—so our clear recommendation is: say “yes” to Kérastase Blond Absolu!
