After application, the hair should not be washed for 48 hours and then should be cleaned only about twice a week if possible. Conditioner should be applied to the lengths and ends after every wash, while a hydrating treatment about twice a month provides additional care. Avoid oil-, silicone- and alcohol-based products as they can affect the adhesion. After about 4 to 6 weeks, the tapes are usually repositioned – with careful care a longer total usage time is possible. Protect tapes during stylingEven during daily styling, try to minimise stress on the bond points. Brush the hair in the morning and evening in small sections and never when completely wet. When blow-drying, avoid high heat and the adhesive points must be completely dry afterwards. Flat irons and curling wands must not come into direct contact with the tapes. After contact with chlorinated or salt water and after sauna use, a hair wash is recommended. At high temperatures the glue may soften – therefore do not pull on the extensions.
