Alternatively, you can spray each section of hair with setting lotion or leave-in styling spray before using the Curl Formers.  Assemble the hook and insert it into a Curl Former. Slide the hook all the way through.  Divide your hair into sections and pin up the sections you are not working on.  Take a small section of hair and start off by twisting it at the root. If you are working on dry hair, spray the section with setting lotion or styling spray.  Place the hook around the section of hair, close to the root.
