The choice of developer depends on the desired colour result: 3.75% oxidant: For tone-on-tone colouring, darker tinting, or lightening up to 1.5 levels. 6% oxidant: For lightening up to 2 levels and grey coverage. 9% oxidant: For lightening up to 3 levels.
