In der Regel sind sie für den Einmalgebrauch bestimmt (nicht medizinisches Produkt).  Da Coronaviren des Typs SARS-CoV-2 bis zu sieben Tage auf der Oberfläche einer FFP2-Maske überleben, können die Masken frühestens nach Ablauf dieser Zeit auch wiederverwendet werden und Sie müssen nicht sofort eine neue FFP2-Maske kaufen. In dieser Zeit sollten sie bei Raumluft trocknen. Spätestens nach fünfmaligem Trocknen sollte man die Masken jedoch entsorgen. Tipp: Bestellen Sie sieben farbige FFP2-Masken und verwenden Sie an jedem Wochentag eine andere. In der restlichen Woche haben die Masken Zeit zum Trocknen. Am besten hängen Sie sie dafür an sieben Haken, die sie mit Wochentagen (Montag, Dienstag, …) beschriften. Hinweis: Diese FFP2-Masken sind abgelaufen. Das angegebene Haltbarkeitsdatum ist überschritten. Die Schutzwirkung nach EN 149 kann nicht mehr garantiert werden.
