With the correct shampoo, hair and scalp are cleaned of dirt, oil and dead skin cells every time it is washed. The first step is to thoroughly and evenly wet the hair. In order to create a lather from the shampoo, water is necessary. The amount of shampoo that has to be used does not need to be bigger than a walnut in order to efficiently clean the hair. Shampoo needs to be distributed evenly on the scalp and massaged in using the fingertips. This does not only help to work up a lather, but it also helps to dislodge dead skin cells, oils and dirt. On top of it, it also provides a stimulating massage for the scalp, which improves circulation and aids healthy hair growth. After distributing the shampoo evenly and massaging the scalp, it is important to rinse it out very thoroughly. If shampoo residue is left in the hair, it is detrimental to the hair condition and manageability.
